Progress as of 3/03/15
Pink lights on the top of the cliff are not as saturated as I want them to be and the shadows aren't as dark as they need to be yet.
The trees on top of the cliff need more variation so a few different tree models are going to be switched out for the final render.

The above links are a fog simulation, uncomped, and comped with the matte painting. The movement of the fog most likely needs to be slowed down for the final rendering. For now it is a good representation of color and movement.

Tree progress
Unfortunately, I had to restart the tree today because my Maya file got corrupted last night. I should be done with one complete tree by tonight and will be able to edit a few more version by tomorrow evening.

Cliff Model Progress
This is the current iteration of the cliff model. It started from a basemesh one subdivision lower than what currently is. It was then imported into zbrush and sculpted through six subdivision layers. A subdivision with a good amount of mesh detail was exported to maya, unwrapped, imported back into Zbrush where the highlevel detail was baked into a Normal map. The texture was then applied in maya.
Progressing further: The model needs more vertical lines in the form. Steps to take are find appropriate brush in Zbrush or make one from scratch. Then iterate, critique and move forward until it is satisfactory.

Light layout. Still no luck finding much reference for the actual lighting set up that Disney had. I will begin testing out the set up in maya.
